In this poster for Venture Theatre’s production of Eric Overmyer’s On the Verge, in which three Victorian women explorers travel through time and confront their own biases, the title becomes the principal image. Angled typography, diagonal bands, and rounded linear forms create movement through the composition, suggesting transition through formal relationships rather than a literal narrative scene.
A limited palette of muted blue, warm gray, and off-white connects the layered elements. Supporting production information follows the poster’s directional structure, with changes in scale and spacing maintaining distinctions among title, credits, and event details. The project examines how typography can carry both the expressive character and the practical requirements of theatre promotion.
